This article from the Birmingham Mail, discusses the ways local law enforcement is using Twitter and Facebook to track down criminals, clear-up rumors and located missing persons. But as with all good things, there are always downsides.
In this case it was that hackers got into the Chief Inspectors Twitter account and sent out thousands of emails containing pornography and Viagra ads.
