April 16, 2009Comcast made more than 900,000 telemarketing calls to people on the Do Not Call registry, violating the Telemarketing and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act, prosecutors say in Philadelphia Federal Court. A similar action was filed earlier in Los Angeles Federal Court.
DirecTV sued for charging hidden fees
February 5, 2009The plaintiff suing in state court of Georgia claims that she is being charged for two leased receiver when she should only be charged for one and for sales tax on top of that. The complaint then states these charges are, “clear examples of DirecTV’s improper, bad faith, and deceptive business practices.” The complaint doesn’t provide much in the way of competitive intelligence nor is it a well-written document.
