According to a class action lawsuit filed in Federal Central District Court of California, AOL after a subscriber calls multiple times to cancel their subscription, continues to charge the monthly fees for Internet use.

I recall having to notify my credit card company to no longer honor any billings from AOL. Although I notified them both on the telephone and by e-mail, the continued billing me for 2 more months. Fortunately, my credit card company was able to get the 2 months of extra billing credited back to my account.

Thanks for the comment. It sucks that it takes a lawsuit (if that even works) to stop a company from charging consumers on account that they have cancelled!
