1.8 million households with 3.3 million people are unlikely to receive their coupons in time for the transition from analog to digital TV. Henry Waxman, the Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, warns fellow congressman that more than 6.5 million households are unready for this transition if it goes forward on Feb. 17th.
First, those people waiting for coupons? If they really want to watch TV, they can pay out of pocket for the privilege. Second, TV isn’t a human rights issue. I mean, we aren’t talking high speed Internet!
