Class action against guacamole dip

You have to love a complaint that includes language like, “the most common recipe for guacamole today consists of mashed avocados, chopped tomato, cilantro, lime and chilies, and is seasoned salt, cumin and pepper.”  Yummy!  It not often that a federal class action complaint filed in the Eastern District of California makes my mouth water.  This complaint didn’t continue to whet my appetite as the plaintiffs accuse Laura Scudder’s of making their guacamole dip with “only two percent or less of avocado powder.”  It goes on to list other ingredients that don’t make the mouth water like, malodextrin.

Now I will grant that this dip sounds like it commits a culinary crime but a class action lawsuit in federal court against guacamole powder?
