Not all drywall cases being tried in Louisiana

“At least 10 cases that started in Florida, Louisiana and Ohio are scheduled to be heard by a Louisiana judge who has extensive experience in multidistrict litigation, according to the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. The Tennys are not involved in any of those cases.

“It’s not a class action, but individual cases filed separately because all cases are different,” said attorney Michael Goetz of the Morgan & Morgan law firm, who represents the Tennys.”

Chinese drywall class action filed in Louisiana

No longer isolated to Florida, plaintiffs  in Louisiana have filed class action suits in Louisiana Federal Court claiming that the drywall made by Chinese manufacturers besides emmitting the noxious smell of rotten eggs are also corroding coils in air conditioning units and refrigerators.
