Telemarketing grandma scam

FTC has announced the settlement of three cases where telemarketers harassed mostly elderly consumers into purchasing overpriced garbage bags and light bulbs by charging their credit cards and debiting their bank accounts without their authorization.  And the elderly were lied to as well, told that the sales proceeds would go to help the disabled.  I love the names of the companies:

*Handicapped & Disabled Workshops, Inc.,

*Handi-Hope Industries, Inc.

*Handi-Ship LLC
