Fortune’s best companies to work for: where they don’t lay you off?

 

Free lunch, dry-cleaning, matching 401k, generous vacation pay, book clubs and the like are taking a back seat to a company that doesn’t lay people off.  Google’s position as number #1 slipped this year making it number #4.

Why is NetApps #1? They  haven’t had layoffs and have lots of cash to ride out the storm.
