Google street view no invasion of privacy

The interestingly named “Borings,”  Aaron and Christine, brought suit against Google because its Street View product for invasion of their privacy.   They claimed that since their house is clearly located on a private road, it shouldn’t have been photographed in the first place.   They claim that Google’s photographing of their house has caused them mental sufferings and decreased the value of their house.   Unfortunately for the Borings, the U.S. District of Pennsylvania dismissed the case, claiming among other things that the Boring’s claim to privacy is seriously undercut by the fact that they filed this suit and are receiving much more publicity because of that rather than because of Google’s photographing their house.
