The chicken company, Perdue Farms, is charged with stuffing an extra giblet into whole chickens sold to retail customers. This kills two birds (ouch!) with one stone. According to the complaint, it allows the company to get rid of the useless chicken part without paying for disposal while increasing the weight of the chicken sold, thus allowing them to charge more for the whole chicken. The class action lawsuit was filed in New Jersey Federal Court
